Tamar Park, Urban Park in Admiralty

Tamar Park

Tamar Park is one of the urban parks in Hong Kong with 17000 sq. meters at Admiralty.  It occupies nearly 80% of the site. It connects to the Central Government Complex and the Legislative Council Complex and Admiralty MTR.

The park opened at 2011 with the concept of ‘perpetual green’. Thus, there are full of greenery in the park. Unlike other parks in Hong Kong, the lawn there is free to walk through or lie down. With the great view of Victoria Harbour and the Kowloon, the park has been an attractive leisure space to the locals. Especially during the holidays, numbers of visitors will enjoy their picnic or sunbathe there.

Recently, some visitors found that the park is a fabulous place for photography. Utilizing the marble bench in the park, it will become a mirror to reflect the sky and the scenery. No matter in a sunny or night, it brings out an inverted image of the city.

It will be a nice place to read a book. And enjoy an oasis in the city.
