The Victoria Peak

With an altitude of 552 metres, Victoria Peak is the highest mountain on Hong Kong Island which offers fabulous and panoramic view across the city and the Victoria Harbour. The Peak has long been an attraction for both locals and tourists over generations.

Get to the lower terminus station at Garden Road and be prepared for your exciting ride. The Peak Tram which runs from Central to The Peak is the steepest cable-hauled funicular railway in the world. It has been the major public transportation in this area for more than 120 years. As it runs every 10 to 15 minutes from 7am to the midnight, you can also plan a trip for stargazing on a clear night.

Next to the upper terminus station you can find the Peak Galleria and Peak Tower. There are a number of lavish restaurants and retail shops in the Peak Galleria but the Green Terrace of the top floor is the perfect place to view the most specular cityscape of Hong Kong.

The seven-level Peak Tower comprises a series of viewing, entertainment and dinning venues, which is an ideal place to bring your family. You can take photos with the wax figures of world’s superstars as well as local celebrities in the Madame Tassuauds located on level 4. On the top level of Pear Tower there is The Sky Terrace 428, a viewing platform at 428 meters above sea level. Apart from the vibrant view of the city, you may also enjoy the green view of Cheung Chau Island, Lamma Island and Lantau Island.

If you prefer a quiet and peaceful peak experience, avoid going at weekend and public holidays when there are usually long queues. For more information and ticketing, please visit the link below.
