Hong Kong Book Fair, undoubtedly one of the most anticipating cultural event, is going to be held this week from 20 to 26 July at Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre, Wanchai. As a traditional large-scaled event, the Book Fair has successfully attracted more than 600 international exhibitors, adding up to create a wide variety of collection from all over the world.
The theme is uniquely designed as "Reading the World – Heroism and Romance of the Chinese Martial World", which highlights specially on the prominent role played by martial arts masterpieces in Hong Kong’s literary world.
Every summer, hundreds of thousands of bookworms flock to the Hong Kong Book Fair. A major event, last year’s showcase of the latest page-turners attracted more than one million attendees and included some 360 cultural events to promote reading. In order to promote the theme of the year, a series of seminars will be held in the Book Fair for interested visitors to explore the Chinese literature across different periods. Also, a dedicated zone would be set up in Art Gallery to introduce classical martial art novelists.
