After six years of perseverance, The Coming Society made the tough decision to fold up the business next month. The Coming Society is a book/art space in Wanchai that sells second-hand books with titles in literature, arts, philosophy, social science and history, which are of both Chinese and English. Having the aim to bring all the perspectives together for imagination, the space has also been enthusiastic in organizing a variety of activities including discussion forum, book sharing, small-scaled performance, etc. These events are held on weekly basis to foster cultural exchange for people who are interested in social affairs, art and culture.
Before the closure of The Coming Society, a clearance sale will be held from now until 10 April 2016. A discount of 70% off will be applied to all the 4000 books in the store. A thousand of the collection will be sold at a package of “HKD10 for 4”. The Coming Society is looking for fervent booklovers to explore these treasures.
