Dutch Days in Hong Kong

During the month of April, the Consulate General of the Kingdom of the Netherlands and Asia Week Hong Kong collaborate to present the “Dutch Days in Hong Kong” to public as a celebration of Koningsdag or King’s Day, which is the national holiday in the Kingdom of the Netherlands on April 27 every year. The festival showcases a diverse programme including a fine selection of Dutch art and culture.

It will be kicked off with a museum seminar series “Masters of the Golden Age” organized by the renowned Dutch museums: Mauritshuis Museum, Het Scheepvaartmuseum and the Rijksmuseum. There will be lectures by Frank van Driel and Robert Aronson, as well as exhibitions of the art pieces by Wessel Huisman, Anniek Verholt and Amber Ambrose Aurèle. Apart from these, the week-long Dutch Film Festival at The Grand Cinema also welcomes all the film lovers to come.

Another highlight of the festival is definitely the culinary evening “Taste of Holland”! There will be a marvelous selection of Dutch food and beverage entrepreneurs in Hong Kong. The ten booths for savoring will be placed on the 37th floor of the Hong Kong Skyline. The exclusive dining area will surely be a real foodie heaven for one evening.
